Spider-Man - The High Definition Trilogy (Spider-Man / Spider-Man 2 / Spider-Man 2.1 / Spider-Man 3)
I found this pair of exquisite elephants in a wood carving artisan workshop in Madurai, India. Apparently these elephants were hand carved by artists who take 6 to 7 weeks to carve each elephant. These magnificent carvings are a unique, distinctive and individual work of art that stand worlds apart from mass-produced merchandise. I was also assured by the artisan that the pair of woodcarvings were made from fast growing, non-endangered wood from managed plantations or recycled timber without danger to the environment.
Iron-lock steel locks made here were known for good quality and durability. They were usually the padlock type where one has to wind or unwind the keys twice to lock or unlock, thus making it completely foolproof. These were marketed throughout the state and some were even exported to foreign countries. With the advent of cheaper locks, the production of these once great locks are getting fewer everyday.
HMT has been a pioneer in manufacturing watches in India. The company manufactured India's first mechanical watch in 1961 while the first automatic watch was made in 1972. HMT was also the first manufacturer of Quartz analog watches in the country. As part of its social commitment, HMT was the first Indian Company to manufacture Braille watches for the blind.
